The easiest VR camera app yet!

Just install the Cardboard Camera app from Google Play on your Android phone, start it up and start taking VR photos. The technique is simple, just hit the camera button and then slowly turn through 360° while the camera takes the picture.

The phone will then stitch the image into a panorama with no effort on your part. Exactly as easy as it should be! 🙂 It evens records ambient sound for your picture.

The viewer is built into the camera app so viewing the photo is a matter of selecting it and then tapping the Cardboard icon, then just put the phone in your Cardboard unit and have fun!


360° Photospheres

360° spherical panoramic photos with Google Cardboard and Photosphere – these 360° pics extend all the way up and down as well as all the way around.

Taking Photospheres

Requirements:

  • Android 4.4 (Kitkat) or above
  • Android smartphone with gyroscopes

Using your Android smartphone, go to the Google Play store. Download and install the Google Camera app.

Open the Google Camera app. 

Select the Photosphere option from the menu. Follow the instructions on your phone screen or view the video below to capture your Photosphere.

Viewing Photospheres

Using your Android smartphone, go to the Google Play store.

Download and install the PSViewer app.

In the PSViewer app you can download Photospheres or you can open your own Photospheres from your phone storage.
